The Foundation: mission, purpose, aims and strategic lines of work

ASSISTÈNCIA I GESTIÓ INTEGRAL (AGI) is a non-profit making foundation, established in Barcelona in 1994, that works for people care, development of children and families, promotion of people’s autonomy, equality of gender,  violence and social and labour inclusion of the most vulnerable or in danger exclusion groups.

 Mission

AGI’s mission is to work from the private field of social initiative, with the object to promote a model of life together in solidarity, which increases people quality of life and their integration and social participation.

Purpose

AGIS’ purpose brought from our ethical obligation and wish to take care of the most vulnerable people in our society. For this reason, we have made our aim with courage and strategy, knowing about the responsibility that we have acquired towards a society that is subjected to continuous and quick changes which represent a serious handicap for those people in risk of social exclusion.

Aims

From the field of social initiative, we work with the goodwill of being an active entity and involved with all the activities and projects about people integral assistance and groups with specific handicaps. Our main aim is to provide the welfare right that everybody have for being a member of the society. With this objective, apart from taking care of people, AGI also makes an important effort to perceive all the priorities and needs in the field of the care of people in order to give the best answer to their needs and also to improve our services quality.

Strategic lines of work

From the beginning of AGI Foundation, its strategy of work has been the incorporation of new areas of work that have born from the design and incorporation of new programs and services. The aim of the strategy, according with new needs, is based on the increase of new services in the same way that in our ability to take care of more people increasing every time the quality of the assistance.

The accomplishment of this strategy means that we have not only to increase programs and services but all of them have to give answers to people’s needs and welfare.
